Unusual and wonderfully fun 100% handmade cotton handbag. Made by the Indian fair trade organization Baladarshan. The material is a beautiful hand block print fabric called kalamkari cloth featuring a blue spiral on a beige circle onto a black background. The print is sewn into circular mini closed "pockets" that are lined on the back in black and each one is sewn onto the burlap base in tiers which overlap one another. Each mini "pocket" measures approximately 3 3/4" at the widest part left to right and 3 3/4" top to bottom. The effect is charming and artsy. The purse itself measures 13 1/2" left to right and about 12" top to bottom. Burlap base is trimmed in a black cord and the top of the purse is banded in 1 1/2" wide black cotton fabric. The purse zips shut and the interior lining is black cotton. One side features a zippered pocket that is 7" wide x 6" deep. The other side has two compartments measuring 5" top to bottom and approximately 5 3/4" and 2 3/4" wide respectively to hold mobile devices. The two black fabric handles are sturdy and measure 11" from the top of the handles to the top of the bag and can be easily worn over your shoulder. Total overall length from top of handle to bottom of the bag is 23".
