Fair trade products

This is a fantastic natural fiber, fairtrade backpack, perfect for school or just keeping everything in one place when on the run. It is very roomy and very light weight. Can easily be scrunched up and stored in a small box. It has three large exterior pockets that measure approximatly 6" wide by 6" high by 1" deep. Each pocket has a flap closure with a wooden button loop to keep items safe and sound. The bag has a thick, black cotton lining with a drawstring closure. Then the top of the bag has a flap cover with a wooden button loop closure. The bag has roughly a 13" interior diameter and is 16" deep. The shoulder straps are adjustable and there is a loop a the top to hang the bag on a hook. The shoulder straps are also lined with black cotton. For the jute material, we normally use recycled rice bags from India when available. It is possible that the bag may look slightly stained in some spots, this is due to the fact that the bag was once a rice bag. Because we use only natural fiber materials, this bag is bio-degradeable and can be composted when completely worn out. A nylon bag will probably still be hanging around a landfill when your children's children are heading off to school. We have priced this bag as low as we possibly can because we want to offer our customers a great alternative product to nylong handbags which are often made in China by sweatshops and use only synthetic material that does not breakdown.
